Research Interests: Social mobility,Urban-rural relationship,Grassroots governance,Chinese government and politics

Biography:

Lecturer Wang Tong joined the Ocean University of China in 2019 after completing his Ph.D. in Nankai University. Currently, he focuses on the fields or topics of Social mobility, the Characteristics of Social mobility in China, and how to manage and serve the floating population. He has published about 10 papers on the above topics, such as Disembedded Social Mobility: Institutional Logic of the Urbanization of Rural-Urban Floating Population in China, 2022; From Class Stratum to Class Hierarchies: Two Analytical Logic in Studying Chinese Social Members, 2020; Rooted Mobility: The Hidden Feature of Strata Differentiation and Social Mobility in Rural China, 2018, Etc. Also, He has obtained 5 academic programs for these topics, such as the National Social Science Fund of China, the Humanities and Social Sciences Foundation of the Ministry of Education, the Humanities and Social Sciences Foundation of Shandong province, etc.
