In order to further strengthen the force for scientific research, build a reasonable echelon of research talents, EMBL has successively introduced Dr. Sun Jin in 2020. He has been hired as the third-level professor of the Zhufeng Three Talent Project of Ocean University of China and joined the Marine Invertebrate Diversity and System Evolution Laboratory, responsible for deep sea biology Direction construction. Sars-Fang Centre invited prof. Sun to the centre for the seminar. 

      Sun Jin, male, graduated from Hong Kong Baptist University with a Ph.D. in Science in 2013, worked as a Research Associate at Hong Kong Baptist University from 2013 to 2015, and served as a postdoctoral and research assistant professor at Hong Kong University of Science and Technology from 2015 to 2020; main research The direction is deep-sea biology, and more than 70 papers have been published in top journals in the fields of Nature Ecology & Evolution, Nature Communications, Molecular Biology & Evolution, ISME Journal, among which the lead author and corresponding author 23 Article, SCI cited 740 times. Based on the publication and influence of the above results, he has been invited many times to be a reviewer for well-known magazines in the field of ISME Journal and received full funding from the University of Hong Kong Education Grants Committee in 2019. The core achievements have been specially invited or oral reports in large-scale international academic conferences such as the International Society for Synthetic Ecosystems (2017) and the International Mollusk Society Conference (2019).
