Introduction:
Dr. Rex Dunham has been a professor in the School of Fisheries Aquaculture and Aquatic Sciences at Auburn University for 36 years. His laboratory was the first in the US to accomplish genetic engineering and xenogenesis for fish and the first to selectively breed and gene edit channel catfish. His research paved the way for widespread application of genetic engineering in the channel catfish industry in the US. His research has received recognition in the US Congressional Record, Science as well as Catfish Farmers of America.
