From August 20th to 22nd, 2023, the 7th National Conference on Integrated Circuit Design and Innovation (ICDI), organized by the Human Resources and Social Security Bureau of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of China and co-sponsored by the Chongqing Xiyong Microelectronics Industrial Park Development Co., Ltd., was successfully held in Chongqing. The "TaiShen" team from our university, composed of Li Zhi En, Li Song Yang, and Li Yun Zhen from the Microelectronics Science and Engineering program in the School of Electronics Engineering under the direction of teachers Liu Yan and Zheng Hai Yong, represented our university and won first prize in the national finals.
The National Conference on Integrated Circuit Design and Innovation (ICDI) is the largest and most comprehensive event in China's integrated circuit industry. This year's competition attracted over 5,000 teams from various universities around the country to register, and after the online preliminary round and regional competitions, 469 outstanding teams were selected for the national finals. Our university's "TaiShen" team won first prize in the North China regional competition and entered the national finals. Through fierce competition, they ultimately stood out and won the national first prize. It is reported that this is the first time our university has won an award in this competition.
The School of Electronics Engineering focuses on cultivating innovative and outstanding talents with comprehensive development in the field of microelectronics, actively exploring new measures and patterns of talent cultivation with microelectronics characteristics, such as integration of industry and education and integration of science and education. The school will continue to vigorously promote the construction of practical education and actively cultivate students' innovative practical abilities, output a group of high-quality professionals in the "bottleneck" areas of the motherland.
