一、主讲人介绍： 

Hyun-Min Kim教授，韩国釜山大学数学院教授，于2021年3月起担任韩国国家数学科学研究所（National Institute for Mathematical Science (NIMS)）所长。曾任釜山大学数学院院长，釜山大学产业数学中心主任，韩国大韩数学会副会长以及韩国产业数学会副会长。Hyun-Min Kim教授主要从事矩阵方程数值解法、产业数学与大数据问题分析与求解等，在SIAM Journal on Matrix Analysis and Applications, IMA Journal of Numerical Analysis, BIT Numerical Mathematics, Journal of Scientific Computing, Journal of Computational and Applied Mathematics, Linear Algebra and its Applications等计算数学国际顶尖和权威期刊发表论文30余篇。

二、讲座信息

       On solutions to some different types of nonlinear matrix equations, and introduction to industrial mathematics in Korea and National Institute for Mathematical Sciences (NIMS)：The first part of the talk is concerned with solving nonlinear matrix equations. We consider different types of nonlinear matrix equations, including the existence of the solutions and numerical approaches for computing the solutions. Then we introduce industrial mathematical problems with practical backgrounds in various fields. Current status and research results will be presented.
