主要以纤毛虫原生动物四膜虫为模式材料，开展染色体生物学研究。对于细胞减数分裂期间的染色体转录、同源重组机制方面的研究工作先后发表在Current Biology、Nucleic Acids Research、PLoS Genetics等国际主流刊物上。
