Achievements
Discovered atmosphere-ocean-sea ice interaction over the Arctic region and their impact on extreme climate (eg. Frozen rain in south of China, extreme high or low temperature events over Euroasian, extreme drought over China) at mid-latitudes;
Introduced some nonlinear theory and methods into atmospheric dynamics for resolving some theoretical problems
