To deepen the learning of traditional culture and understand the mission of contemporary youth, from March 10th to 12th, some members of the second Qingma Project training class of Haide College went to Qufu and Tai'an to carry out the study tour activity of Learning Traditional Culture and Building Cultural Confidence.
The first stop - Visit to Kong Mansion and Confucius Temple
Learn Confucian culture and promote Chinese civilization. Qufu enjoys the reputation of a thousand years of ritual and music returning to Donglu, ten thousand officials bowing to Duke Su . On the morning of the first day, in this Eastern Holy City, teachers and students visited Kong Mansion and Kong Forest, following the footsteps of the saint in the red walls, yellow tiles, and countless ancient cypresses, looking up at the saint's back, and tracing the saint's traces. Accompanied by the voice of the guide teacher Ma, the students measured with their feet, felt with their hearts, read the meaning behind each plaque, and saw the thousands of years of Confucian culture contained in every brick and tile. A sense of pride also arose from the bottom of their hearts.
Second Station - Ceremony of Paying Respect to the Teacher
In learning culture, respecting teachers is of great importance. The sound of One bow, two bows, three bows echoed in the lecture hall as the teachers and students performed a sacred and solemn ceremony of paying respect to the teacher, experiencing the noble spiritual and cultural connotations behind teacher's way. Through each bow and the sound of reading aloud, the students deepened their respect for their teachers and felt their teachers' earnest expectations for them. The tradition of respecting teachers and valuing education holds a high position in traditional Chinese culture. Through the ceremony of paying respect to the teacher, the excellent traditional culture of respecting teachers and valuing education left a deep impression in the hearts of every student.
Third Station - Entering the Sacred Site of Nishan
Tracing the footsteps of sages and experiencing the charm of traditional Chinese culture. In the afternoon of the first day, the teachers and students entered the sacred site of Nishan and visited the university hall, where they listened to the stories of ancient sages and explored the cultural connotations. The university hall, built against the mountains, contains classic cultural spaces such as the Jixian Hall and the Seventy-two Wise Men Corridor. In this holy place where Confucian wisdom and modern architectural art are perfectly combined, the students found the spring depicted in the Book of Songs, full of vitality, and gained a deep understanding of the profoundness of Confucian culture. The students even tried their hands at calligraphy, experiencing Confucian culture firsthand.
Fourth Stop - Climbing Mount Tai
Ascending Mount Dong while being insignificant, ascending Mount Tai while being the ruler of the world. As the foremost of the Five Sacred Mountains, Mount Tai rises up from the Qilu Hills, with its main peak towering, its mountain ranges steep and rugged, and its scenery magnificent. However, behind the majestic mountain lies a rich accumulation of historical and cultural heritage. In this study tour, students fearlessly faced the dangers of Mount Tai, endured the hardships of climbing, and constantly followed in the footsteps of emperors, sages, and many literati, bravely climbing to the summit. They not only exercised their physical fitness and tempered their willpower, but also gained insights into the cultural accumulation through cliff carvings, appreciated the beauty of Mount Tai, and strengthened their cultural confidence and pride as Chinese people.
Through practice, they developed themselves, through study, they gained improvement. In the long river of history, the students measured the length of civilization with their footsteps, touched the warmth of civilization with their hands, and felt the thickness of culture with their hearts. In this study tour, Haide students followed in the footsteps of the sages, appreciated the charm of Chinese culture, constantly improved their cultural cultivation, and contributed to the inheritance of excellent traditional culture.
