从事生物海洋学和海洋微型浮游生物生态学相关研究，主要内容包括：

1）海洋微型浮游生物的群落结构、生理生态、营养关系生长动力学及调控机制

2）气溶胶沉降等环境变化和人类活动对海洋微型浮游生物的影响

3）海洋蓝藻与噬藻体的生理生态学研究
