地球化学是研究地球及有关天体化学组成、化学作用及化学演化的学科,是固体地球科学的支柱之一。研究地球(主要是岩石圈)的化学成分以及元素在其中的分布、分配、富集、分散、共生组合与迁移演化规律是当前地球化学的主要任务。我校地球化学学科在保证现代地球化学研究内容的同时,以资源与环境为对象、海底资源为重点、发展理论与方法为目标,形成了鲜明的海洋特色,现有海洋环境地球化学、现代海底成矿作用地球化学、矿床地球化学、沉积地球化学、海底岩石地球化学等研究方向。
The field of geochemistry involves study of the chemical composition of the Earth and other planets, chemical processes and reactions that govern the composition of rocks and soils, and the cycles of matter and energy that transport the Earth's chemical components in time and space, and their interaction with the hydrosphere and the atmosphere. The important fields of geochemistry in our university are: marine environmental geochemistry in marine environment, geochemistry in modern metallogenesis at the sea floor, ore deposit geochemistry, sedimentary geochemistry and geochemistry in sea floor rock.
