On April 18, at the joint invitation of Prof. Li Jianping, Dean of the Academy of Future Ocean, and Prof. Xu Bochao, a Ph.D. supervisor of the Academy of Future Ocean, Prof. Isaac R. Santos from the University of Gothenburg, and Prof. Adina Paytan from the University of California, Santa Cruz respectively delivered an academic lecture titled “Carbon Outwelling from Mangroves and Saltmarshes – a Major Blue Carbon Sequestration Pathway” and “Where Have All the Women Gone? Diversity in the Geosciences” at Future Ocean Forum. The lecture was hosted by Prof. Xu Bochao, and was attended by over 19,000 participants, including students from the AFO.
